Securing and successfully executing a government contract is a highly competitive endeavor, and Federal agencies turn to Earned Value Management (EVM) as a pre-award investment analysis and post-award performance-monitoring approach. What is an EVM System (EVMS)? Simply put, it’s a set of good business practices for managing a project’s life cycle as well as predicting and controlling its performance. CAI/SISCo’s 1-day seminar teaches EVMS concepts, theory, and practical applications that both government and contractor managers need to know to navigate in today’s project management environment.
The seminar is targeted at senior opportunity capture personnel and is led by an experienced EVM practitioner. Our instructor guides you through each stage of running an effective EVMS, including organizing the project work, budgeting and planning for performance management, accumulating performance data, monitoring project performance, maintaining the project baseline, and assessing its performance via data analysis.
Monthly public seminars are held in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (CAI/SISCo 2010 public seminar schedule). Private seminars are also offered and they are a great way to train entire acquisition management, business development and operations teams.
